The manufacturing process starts with sustainably sourced wood that is milled into thin layers. These layers are then glued together, with the grain of each layer running perpendicular to the one before it. This creates a strong and stable material that resist warping, shrinking, and cracking.
Hector Egger then takes this engineered timber and uses state-of-the-art manufacturing processes to efficiently turn these engineered timber supplies into pre-cut frames and panels to the exact specification of Leuschke Groups designs.
Once the timber is manufactured in Cromwell, it is transported to the Mt Cardrona Station construction site and assembled into walls and structures.
