The Rose — Mt Cardrona Station

Mt Cardrona Station

2023

The Rose, with its four bedrooms and larger floor area,  moves a step ahead. The design references   Central Otago  buildings of the nineteenth century. This theme is achieved  with the use of a simple gable and lean to roofs, emphasised by the inclusion of local schist rock cladding. All materials are either natural or toned by selecting colours from the Mt Cardrona Colour Palette.

All materials are either natural or toned by selecting colours from the Mt Cardrona Colour Palette. Internally the design anticipates occupation by two families or a family with friends. Four bedrooms and three and a half bathrooms cater for the anticipated numbers of people. A central recessed courtyard brings interest to the plan and allows light to penetrate deep into the building.
